Service Description

Our Pick-Up Services provide secure, efficient, and cost-effective solutions for document shredding and business e-waste collection. Clients can choose from three vehicle options based on the volume of materials to ensure the right level of service. Document shredding is available for both residential and business clients, while e-waste pick-up is offered exclusively for business clients. Please note that while our calendar allows weekend bookings, pick-ups are only available Monday through Friday. Service Requirements The starting rates listed below apply to collections where materials are located at ground level and within 25 feet of an accessible exit point. Additional surcharges may apply if materials are located beyond this distance or require access to upper or lower levels. Pricing and Vehicle Options For pick-ups within the Kitchener–Waterloo (K-W) region, flat rates apply based on vehicle size and load capacity. A hybrid vehicle is available for small loads of up to 10 banker’s boxes or 250 lbs at a rate of $60 per trip. A pick-up truck is available for medium loads of up to 36 banker’s boxes or 900 lbs at a rate of $100 per trip. A 20-foot truck is available for large-scale collections of up to 450 banker’s boxes or 12,000 lbs at a rate of $140 per trip. Additional Fees For locations outside the Kitchener–Waterloo region, a surcharge of $40 applies for every additional 30 km from Eco-Tech Waterloo. For example, a location 60 km away would incur an $80 surcharge, while a location 90 km away would incur a $120 surcharge. If materials must be carried beyond the initial 25 feet from an accessible exit, an additional surcharge applies based on distance. For example, materials located between 25 and 50 feet incur a $20 surcharge, while distances between 50 and 100 feet incur a $40 surcharge, and so on. Collections requiring elevator access to upper or lower levels are subject to a $60 surcharge. Optional Tracking Clients may choose to track their pick-ups in real time using an optional live-tracking app, providing added security and peace of mind. This service ensures the secure transport of sensitive documents for shredding and the responsible handling of business e-waste, offering a reliable, transparent, and environmentally responsible collection solution.
