Service Description
Eco-Tech’s Product Destruction service provides a secure, comprehensive, and environmentally responsible solution for the destruction of both electronic and analog data-storage media. This service ensures complete destruction of sensitive and confidential information, significantly reducing the risk of data breaches. We securely destroy a wide range of storage media including hard drives, SSDs, USB flash drives, portable drives, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, VHS tapes, backup tapes, floppy diskettes, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic storage devices. All materials are processed through controlled shredding and responsible recycling channels wherever possible. For safety and operational efficiency, batteries are removed from applicable devices prior to destruction. Booking Instructions 1 - Select your Storage Product Type: Flash Drive, Smartphone/Portable Drive, CD/DVD/Blu-ray Discs, VHS/Backup Tapes, Floppy Diskettes, or iPad/Tablet. 2 - If you have additional items, select the appropriate “Additional Devices” option and enter the correct quantity per media type. 3 - If required, select any extra services under “Extra Services” and adjust quantities accordingly. Available options include Loose HDD/SSD Destruction (CA$10), Smartphone Crunching (CA$10), iPad/Tablet/Smartphone Shredding (CA$20), Portable/Flash Drive Shredding (CA$15), and CD/DVD/VHS Shredding (CA$20 per unit, includes up to 10 lbs per unit — minimum charge applies). 4 - If applicable, select Apple Laptop or Apple iMac Desktop options where required for your booking. 5 - Ensure all selected quantities match the actual items being processed to ensure accurate scheduling, capacity allocation, and pricing. Service Notes This service operates on a per-unit pricing model, with each unit representing a defined category of media. Larger volumes may qualify for custom pricing. For bulk or business destruction projects requiring multiple units, please contact Eco-Tech prior to booking.
Cancellation Policy
Eco-Tech requires payment details to be collected upfront for all booking services to secure appointments due to increased no-shows, which disrupt operations by preventing the allocation of dedicated service time. Payment details are only used to charge in the event of a no-show or failure to attend a scheduled appointment. If the client attends their booking, no payment is processed through the booking system, and payment is collected in-store at the time of service completion. For all bookings, clients are required to provide at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice, including no-shows, may result in a $20 cancellation fee only. The full service fee will not be charged in cases of no-show or late cancellation. This policy is intended to support efficient scheduling and fair allocation of service time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide consistent and quality service.
