Service Description
Eco-Tech’s Product Destruction service provides a secure, comprehensive, and environmentally responsible solution for destroying electronic devices and data-storage media. Our controlled destruction process ensures sensitive and confidential information is permanently destroyed while maximizing responsible recycling wherever possible. We securely destroy a wide range of items including USB flash drives, smartphones, portable hard drives, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, VHS tapes, backup tapes, floppy diskettes, laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices. For safety and processing efficiency, batteries are removed from devices where required prior to shredding or recycling. Booking Instructions 1. Select your Product Type by choosing one of the following: Flash Drive, CD/DVD/Blu-ray Discs, External Battery Laptop, Floppy Diskettes, Smartphone/Portable Drive, VHS/Backup Tapes, Internal Battery Laptop, or iPad/Tablet. 2. If you are bringing additional items, select the appropriate option under "Additional Devices" and adjust the quantity for each additional device. 3. If you are booking destruction for an Apple Laptop or Apple iMac Desktop, select the appropriate option under "Extra Services." 4. Ensure all selected quantities accurately match the number of items you are bringing. This allows us to schedule sufficient processing time, allocate equipment capacity, and ensure accurate pricing. Service Notes Pricing is based on the product categories and quantities selected during booking. VHS/Backup Tape and CD/DVD/Blu-ray Disc destruction are subject to a minimum charge of CA$20 per unit, with each unit including up to 10 lbs of media. Additional weight may require additional units. Batteries are removed where required before devices are processed. All destroyed materials are recycled responsibly whenever possible. Businesses and customers with large quantities of equipment may qualify for custom volume pricing. Please contact Eco-Tech before booking large destruction projects.
Cancellation Policy
Eco-Tech requires payment details to be collected upfront for all booking services to secure appointments due to increased no-shows, which disrupt operations by preventing the allocation of dedicated service time. Payment details are only used to charge in the event of a no-show or failure to attend a scheduled appointment. If the client attends their booking, no payment is processed through the booking system, and payment is collected in-store at the time of service completion. For all bookings, clients are required to provide at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice, including no-shows, may result in a $20 cancellation fee only. The full service fee will not be charged in cases of no-show or late cancellation. This policy is intended to support efficient scheduling and fair allocation of service time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide consistent and quality service.
